Plum Flower – Central Chi Teapills, or Bu Zhong Yi Qi Wan is a Chinese Herbal Medicine formula that helps promote and maintain a healthy digestive system. It works to boost one’s Qi or energy to help you digest better. It’s indicated for poor digestion with symptoms of:

  • Tendency to need to have a bowel movement (or diarrhea) right after eating
  • Intolerance of cold foods, salads, and/or drinks
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Abdominal distension
  • Bloating with pain and gas
  • General weakness
  • Feeling of coldness
  • Chronic diarrhea
  • Chronic loose stools

 

Clinical Notes: This formula is a spleen qi tonic with the addition of  Chai Hu and Sheng Ma, two herbs with upward energy that make this formula especially useful for addressing organ prolapses.
