What is Shu Gan Wan (Healthy Liver):

Shu Gan Wan, or Healthy Liver is a Chinese Herbal Medicine formula that can help to alleviate minor upset stomach and acid indigestion. It can help to lessen hiccups and feelings of fullness after a large meal. This product also supports the health of your circulatory system and liver.

Benefits

Shu Gan Wan contains white peony root without bark. This herb has well-known health benefits in China, and long has been used to help support the health of the liver. The peony root comes from the Chinese peony plant. It is usually found in eastern and central Asia.

It is believed that the health benefits of this root come from the monoterpenoid glycoside, which also is called paeoniflorin. This compound has properties that are helpful throughout our bodies. It also is thought to support the health of your circulatory system and to increase blood flow. It is effective in lessen hiccups.

Chinese herbs work differently from Western drugs – they help clear the root of the problem. Often these herbs work better if taken for some time, depending on the severity and length of symptoms. Thus they help to resolve the underlying imbalance, rather than simply managing symptoms.
