Luo Bu Ma Pian, also known as Apocynum Venetum is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula indicated for use for symptoms of hypertension when it occurs in combination with high blood fats and secondary symptoms such as vertigo, headache, flushed face, pressure behind the eyes, and irritability (i.e. symptoms of Liver yang rising). In terms of TCM, this formula “settles the Liver” and extinguishes wind, clears phlegm-heat, and enriches heart blood and yin (all of which benefit the Heart). As a single herb, Luo Bu Ma (Apocynum) is a has a long history of use in Europe as a tea for supporting normal blood pressure levels and has come to recent clinical attention in China for its effects of lowering blood pressure and clearing blood lipids.

I’ve been taking this for about a year and a half. At first it didn’t lower my pressure much but my acupuncturist recommended I take it with “Stasis in the mansion of blood ” herbal complex and together lowered my pressure beautifully.
