Tian Ma extract powder – by Plum Flower
Tian Ma (Gastrodia elata rhizome) extract powder – by Plum Flower is clinically used in TCM formulas to address two main classes of symptoms:
- those associated w/hypertension: headaches, irritability, red eyes, and dizziness. In China, this pattern is often the cause of hypertension, and Tian Ma is used (e.g. in the formula Tian Ma Gou Teng) to control high blood pressure.
- those associated w/seizures, post-stroke conditions, and other associated presentations: tremors, spasms, tonic-clonic convulsions (grand mal seizures), opisthotonos (muscle spasms causing backward arching of the head, neck, and spine), infantile and childhood seizures and epilepsy. Again, this herb is used in formula to address these concerns.
