Plum Flower – Huang Lian Shang Qing Tablets:
This formulation is based off a 16th century formula, the modern applications of which revolve around resolving bacterial infections in the nose & sinus, throat area (c.f. Chuan Xin Lian formula for throat infections & pain), and the upper respiratory tract in general*.
Some indications for this formula’s use may include:
- fever, headache, and sore throat
- strep throat and tonsillitus
- conjunctivitis and eye styes
- ear and/or sinus infections
Can also be used to clear Stomach and intestinal heat that moves up the channel and presents as tooth infection, mouth ulcers/sores on the mouth and lips, and swollen, infected gums.
This is a short-term use formula and should be discontinued once the heat symptoms subside of change.
PROHIBITED during pregnancy.
