This tincture is processed pinellia tuber (Zhi ban xia), a very commonly used herb in Chinese medicine when there is excess phlegm in the chest area and/or the stomach. It is found in a wide variety of formulas that address cough, wheezing, nausea & vomiting, and chest constriction (caused by excess phlegm). As a single herb tincture, this is good to have around to add to any formula you might be taking to address a cold or flu in which the cough has settled in and there is copious sputum being coughed up. This herb can also help relieve chest congestion & wheezing in these situations.

 

 

 

Herbal Ingredients in Ban Xia (Pinellia Tuber) – Liquid Extract (Tincture):

Dosage Instructions for Ban Xia (Pinella Tuber) – Liquid Extract (Tincture):

  • Shake Well before each use.
  • Maintenance Serving: Dissolve 1-2 droppers (1/2 tsp.) in warm water or juice 2-3 times daily.
  • Augmented Serving: Take 1 full tsp. 2 to 3 times daily in warm water or juice or as directed by a qualified herbalist familiar with the use of Chinese herbs and formulas.
  • To evaporate alcohol place in hot water.

Amount: varies: 1 oz. = approximately 10 days supply at bottle dosage.
