What is Bao He Wan:

Bao He Wan is a Chinese Herbal Medicine formula recommended for those with indigestion, acid reflux, and bloating, and other symptoms of gastric distress that have at their root food stagnation. The chief herb in this formula (Shan Zha – Hawthorn berry) is especially effective at helping to digest greasy meats (and oils and grease in the digestive system in general).

Take Bao He Wan when you’ve overeaten at Thanksgiving, and any other time you feel too full. May be taken on a regular basis when your system needs extra help with digestion. Also useful as an adjunct formula for gastric/digestive disorders that have food stagnation as a component.

Bao He Wan may be used for the following:

  • Indigestion
  • Bloating
  • Acid reflux
  • Stomach upset
  • Belching
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
