Product Description

Fu Ling (Poria Fungus) – Liquid Extract (Tincture):

Fu Ling Bai (Poria Fungus) Liquid Tincture comes from a type of fungus called poria (Poria cocos (Schw.) Wolf) that usually grows at the base of pine trees. It promotes urination and resolves dampness to treat dysuria, edema, and dampness and phlegm accumulations.

Fu ling bai is most commonly used in formula to address Spleen qi deficiency presentations such as abdominal bloating & cramping, dyspepsia, nausea, sluggish digestion, etc… and while it addresses addresses other such fairly obvious signs of water accumulation such as edema, it is also used in formula to address less obvious accumulations of phlegm and dampness, such as brain fog & memory issues (in combo with an herb like Rosemary, which increases circulation to the head & brain) and mood issues stemming from channels of energy being blocked by excess dampness & phlegm (with other herbs that calm the Spirit (or Shen), such as Jujube Date seed (Suan zao ren), Biota seed (Bai zi ren), or Reishi mushroom (Ling zhi).

This herb should be used with caution of taking pharmaceutical diuretics for its potential to potentiate the effects of such drugs.
