Peach Kernel Teapills – by Min Shan:

Peach Kernel Teapills– by Min Shan (aka Run Chang Wan, Lubricate the Intestines Teapills) is indicated for chronic constipation due to yin deficiency with depletion of fluids (i.e. excess heat causing dryness in the intestines), a common condition in the elderly, the debilitated, and those recovering from illness. This formula is also often helpful to address constipation in postpartum women (due to the loss of blood, fluids, and yin).

Often, more general signs of yin deficiency may also be present (e.g. hot flashes, night sweats, 5-center heat (i.e. sweaty palms and soles), and a subjective sense of feeling hot). The tongue will likely be red with no coating.
