Plum Flower Cinnamon & Poria Teapills, or Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan is a Chinese Herbal Medicine formula that is a nourishing, warming formula designed for women with many of the following:

  • Coldness in the abdomen
  • Abdominal cramping
  • Abdominal bloating and distension
  • Infertility
  • Headaches
  • Irregular menstruation

 

Clinical Notes: This 2nd century AD formula invigorates blood and breaks stasis, warms the uterus, dissipates masses, and stops bleeding and was originally intended to treat mild uterine bleeding during pregnancy. In modern clinical application, it is often used to address PCOS, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and retention of lochia following childbirth (in addition to the symptoms listed above in the bullet points).
