Plum Flower – Eight Righteous Teapills – Ba Zheng Wan

Plum Flower – Eight Righteous Teapills (Ba Zheng Wan) is a herbal formula that drains heat, removes toxins, and benefits the movement of urine. It is appropriately used to address acute and chronic bladder infections with dark, scanty, smelly, and/or painful urination. This formula may also be used in the early stages help to prevent bladder infections from reaching the kidneys. Note, however,  that an acute infection of the urinary tract is a serious matter– pain & symptoms lasting 24 – 36 hours, and/or pain radiating around to the lower back indicates possible kidney infection for which Western antibiotic treatment is appropriate.

With that being said, Ba Zheng Wan may be appropriate for the following situations:

  • Symptoms of acute urinary tract infection (UTI)*
  • Inflammation of the bladder or urethra* in men or women
  • Inflammation of prostate*
  • Kidney stones
  • Acute and chronic kidney and bladder infections
