What is Plum Flower – Solitary Hermit Teapills – Du Huo Ji Sheng Wan:

Plum Flower – Solitary Hermit Teapills, or Du Huo Ji Sheng Wan is a classical Chinese Herbal Medicine formula (c. 650 AD) that best addresses arthritic-type conditions in which weakness in the lower back and/or weak, aching knees is the chief complaint.

In terms of TCM, this formula dispels wind-damp, strengthens tendons and bones, tonifies the Kidney, and nourishes the Liver. This translates into this formula being especially suited to addressing pain from arthritis and rheumatism that gets worse in cold, damp weather. Additionally, it is a gentle formula that is often taken by older patients and is a safe to take long-term.

Secondary symptoms pointing toward the appropriate use of this formula include: aversion to cold, fatigue, slow gait, numbness in the limbs, and joint stiffness.

Solitary Hermit Teapills can be helpful for chronic lumbago, sciatica, and numbness, pain, and/or swelling in the limbs

Solitary Hermit Teapills for Pets (Dogs, Cats & Horses)

For Dogs, Cats & Horses, Du Huo Ji Sheng Wan is especially helpful for senior animals with chronic lameness or disc disease that is worse with exertion or with cold. These arthritic conditions are more painful in the cold and damp of winter than they are in the warm, dry summer. They become progressively weaker as they walk and dread going out in the cold. In addition to helping geriatric pets with arthritis, This formula helps with dry eyes, deafness, increased drinking and urination (PUPD), and with numbness and tingling. It is also often helpful for degenerative myelopathy.

Take 8 Teapills 3 times per day, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
