He Shou Wu (Fo-Ti)

He Shou Wu (Fo-Ti) is a Chinese Herbal Medicine formula recommended for those with hair loss, graying hair, weakness in limbs, dizziness, and aching back and knees.

He Shou Wu may be used for the following:

Several published human clinical trials have supported the traditional use of He Shou Wu. While the results vary among studies and individuals, over 60% of people who had hair loss (alopecia) experienced hair regrowth within 3 months after taking He Shou Wu. In animal studies with aging mouse models, He Shou Wu was shown to lower total cholesterol and triglyceride, to reduce brain pathological changes and promote learning and memory. It is also shown to contain multiple anti-oxidants.

Herbal Ingredients found in He Shou Wu

Filtered water, ethyl alcohol (20%) and a blend of the following dry herbs decocted at a 1:1 ratio (gm herb to ml menstruum):

* Percent proportion of starting herb & listed in descending order. ** 20 drops – 1/4 tsp. (1.25 ml) & contains extractives of 1250 mg of plant material.. (1 tsp. = 5 ml – 5000mg of raw herb)

Dosage Instructions for He Shou Wu

Shake Well before each use.

Maintenance Serving: Dissolve 1-2 droppers (1/2 tsp.) in warm water or juice 2-3 times daily.

Augmented Serving: Take 1 full tsp. 2 to 3 times daily in warm water or juice or as directed by a qualified herbalist familiar with the use of Chinese herbs and formulas.
