What is Liu Ji Nu?:
The Chinese Herb Liu Ji Nu is the dried aerial parts of Artemisia anomala (sometimes referred to as diverse wormwood), a perennial herb native to South China and Taiwan that blooms in the late summer and fall with spikes of yellow flowers.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Therapeutic Actions of Liu Ji Nu:
Liu Ji Nu breaks up blood stasis and opens the channels and is commonly used to address amenorrhea with abdominal pain and postpartum abdominal pain
Liu Ji Nu disperses blood stagnation and relieves pain and can be used both internally or externally to address bruises and swelling associated with traumatic/sports injuries. It is also used topically as a single herb (powdered) to stop bleeding from cuts.
Liu Ji Nu is aromatic in nature and enters the Spleen channel to “awaken the Spleen and Stomach” to address abdominal pain and eliminate food stagnation that causes indigestion.
