What is Zhi Ju Zi?:

The Chinese Herb Zhi Ju Zi is the dried fruit of the Japanese raisin tree (Hovenia dulcis Thunb.). They have a sweet, pear-like flavor and can be eaten raw, used as a sweetener, made into candy, or fermented to make wine or vinegar. They can also be dried and ground up (i.e. made into pills) for medicinal use.

Zhi Ju Zi generates body fluids and is used to address thirst associated with febrile disorders and diabetes mellitus. Combined with Ge Hua (Kudzu Flower) it resolves alcohol toxicity to address hangovers and alcohol poisoning.
