An Mian Tang (Peaceful Sleep Formula):

An Mian Tang (liquid tincture) is a popular sleep aid that works by replenishing reserves of the cooling, nourishing fluids of the body (yin) that have been depleted over time, whether from the non-stop pace required necessitated by modern life, stress, anxiety, or the natural progression of aging.

The chief herb is Suan zao ren (the seed of the jujube date), which is widely known for its ability to “calm Shen“– that is, bring peace to the Spirit, calm anxiety, and promote restful and even sleep. Other herbs in the formula also gently help stimulate digestion and clear heat (two actions which promote restful sleep in the larger picture). A favorite go-to sleep formula for this house herbalist (along with An Shui (see related products below for that link))!

This formula need to be taken regularly for at least one month to really know if’s working for a particular person’s pattern of imbalances.

Better than Melatonin

This really helped me sleep and I’ve tried everything in order to prevent having to take a prescription. So far so good, and I’ve used everything- Melatonin of all kinds (time release, gummies). I’ve also tried bar tinctures, but this is the best remedy I have found to date.
