Margarite Acne Pills (Cai Feng Zhen Zhu An Chuang):

Margarite Acne Pills (of Pearl and Honeysuckle) is considered of the treasures of Chinese medical dermatology; it is specially formulated for stubborn cases of acne or redness of skin marked by hardness.

This herbal formula that can be used by men and women of all ages for a range of skin conditions– for example:

  • Acne, especially when there are hard swellings present
  • Eczema, again especially with heat signs (raised whorls with redness) & hard patches or nodules presenting
  • Allergic hives, and other rashes
  • Various manifestations of swelling, redness, and/or itchiness on the skin

Note the common thread of 1. hard swellings or nodules and 2. redness… this formula contains pearl, renown as a beauty supplement for healthy, glowing skin for thousands of years and honeysuckle flower (lonicera), which helps to vent off heat to help clear up the skin. Other herbs in this formula have the functions of dissolving nodules (and excreting the material out of the body), clearing heat, and tonifying blood (i.e. getting at the root of the problem by building up the deep, interior foundations for healthy skin).
