Zhong Gan Ling – by Plum Flower:

Zhong Gan Ling– by Plum Flower is a Chinese Medicine patent formula created in recent decades to address severe common cold and influenza. CCP officials went out into the countryside and gathered information about what herbs the peasants used in their family traditions to deal with what we in modern times call colds & flu, brought that information back and tested the herbs and various combinations for their antiviral effects. Thus was this formula borne into existence.

This formula is best used when there is a viral attack with high fever (101.5 degrees and up), sore throat, and headache. Most of the anti-viral herbs in this formula go down deep into the body to clear heat-toxins (i.e. fever) out of the body; therefore, it is most suitably used for the full-blown, acute phase of the infection when high fever predominates (as opposed to the initial stages of a viral infection, when a formula like Yin Qiao would be more appropriate).
