In general, children of 2-5 years can take ¼ the adult dose of Yunnan Baiyao 4 times per day. Children aged 5 to 12 can take ½ the adult dose each time. However, it is often best to consult your Chinese medicine practitioner to find the right dose for your child.
Pets like dogs, cats, and horses do benefit from taking Yunnan Baiyao in certain circumstances, specifically bleeding tumors and similar conditions. Yunnan Baiyao should be used only after consultation and in cooperation with your pet’s veterinarian.
While Yunnan Baiyao can offer substantial support for many health conditions, it should not be taken on an ongoing basis. In most cases, only a few doses of Yunnan Baiyao is needed, or an alternating schedule of 5 days on, 5 days off.
