Properties: Ding Jing Cao enters the Liver and Kidney channels; it is sweet and slightly bitter in nature and neutral in temperature.

What is Ding Jing Cao?:

The Chinese Herb Ding Jing Cao is the dried aerial parts of pimpernel lindernia (Lindernia anagallis (Burm.f.) Pennell), a low-growing, creeping annual that ranges from the Eastern Himalayas through SE Asia and on into India and Australia. It flowers from April through September with tiny white flowers.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Therapeutic Actions of Ding Jing Cao:

Ding Jing Cao invigorates and nourishes the blood to regulate the menses when underlying blood deficiency leads to blood stagnation (in the ren (conception) and chong (thoroughfare) channels).   Clinically this presents as irregular menstruation with pale blood with clots.

Dong Jing Cao tonifies deficient Kidney energy to address clear or white vaginal discharge.
