The Chinese Herb Geng Mi is the seed of Oryza sativa—commonly known as Asian rice.
Geng Mi tonifies the Lung, Spleen, and Intestines. Clinically speaking, Geng Mi treats thirst, diarrhea, fatigue, and irritability. It is also sometime taken with/added to formulas to protect the middle from damage by cold or harsh herbs (e.g. in the formula Bai Hu Tang because Shi Gao (gypsum) is quite cold in temperature).
