What is Lian Fang?:

The Chinese Herb Lian Fang is the dried receptacle (or seed pod) of the lotus plant (aka water lily—Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.); this is the part of the lotus in which the seeds sit before falling to the bottom of pond, lake, or river where she lives.
