What is Tian Zhu Huang?:

The Chinese Herb Tian Zhu Huang is produced from a silica gel that forms in the hollow stem of the bamboo plant (weaver’s bamboo– Bambusa textilis). Heat is applied to the bamboo, and the gel is secreted from the nodes and crystallizes in the air.

Tian Zhu Huang clears heat and resolves phlegm and is commonly used ease convulsions and seizures that occur when heat and phlegm obstruct the Shen. Gentle in its action, it is appropriate to use with infants and children in the proper dosage. Tian Zhu Huang also address wind-stroke and aphasia due to phlegm obstruction of the Heart.
