Product Description

Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang – Liquid Extract (Tincture):

Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang – Liquid Extract is a Chinese Herbal Medicine formula that contains two herbs – Dong quai and astragalus (Huang qi) and comprises the traditional formula titled “Chinese Angelica Decoction for Enriching Blood”. The formula is used to invigorate Qi (energy) and help the body to create good, healthy blood. This formula can be used after over-exertion or long illness; due to deficiency of Blood before menstruation; due to deficiency of blood after a heavy period or delivery.

Clinical notes:

This formula can be used as a straight forward qi & blood tonic; traditionally, however, it was used for a pattern of Blood deficiency characterized by low-grade fever and slight sweating (often, a headache will be present as well). In current clinical use this formula is best used to address perimenstrual and post-partum fevers & dysfunctional uterine bleeding.

This formula is a 5:1 ratio of Huang qi to Dang gui and thus is very warming. Its use is contraindicated for those with Yin deficiency with tidal fever (use with caution for those presenting with other (deficiency) heat signs)…  Also contraindicated for those with Excess conditions.
