Plum Flower – Coptis Teapills (Huang Lian Su Wan) is the single Chinese herb Huang Lian. Known as one of the “three yellows”, it contains berberine alkaloids and is a common addition to many TCM formulas that address bacterial and viral infections (in TCM we describe this function by saying that this herb “clears heat and removes toxins”).
