What is Fang Feng?:

The Chinese Herb Fang Feng is sliced, unprocessed siler root (also known as ledebouriella root). Siler is a cone-shaped, perennial herbaceous plant that grows 6-12 inches tall native to Northeast China and Inner Mongolia.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Therapeutic Actions of Fang Feng:

Fang Feng dispels wind without causing dryness and thus can be used in cases of wind-heat as well as wind-cold. It is indicated especially for cases of wind invasion that present with body aches and pain as the chief complaint.

Fang Feng is useful for treating dermatological conditions that present with itching.

Fang Feng is indicated for cases in which wind, cold, and/or damp causes pain and stiffness in the joints (Bi zheng syndrome).
