Golden Voice Herb Tea – by Health King is a delicious brew based on traditional Chinese Medicine principles. The star of the show is the malva nut (Pang da hai in pinyin Chinese), which, in the language of herbalism, is known as a demulcent. This means it has the quality of being smooth, slippery, and lubricating to the mucosa of the digestive tract (think okra, aloe, slippery elm, etc…) and so provide temporary relief for sore throat with loss of voice. This tea also clears heat from the chest so it is a good choice if the throat issues coincide with catching a cold/getting sick.
