What is Yin Chai Hu?:

The Chinese Herb Yin Chai Hu is the dried root of stellaria (Stellaria dichotoma L. var. lanceolata), a kind of chickweed native to rocky, barren slopes in North China, Mongolia and into Siberia. The roots are harvested late in the autumn of early spring and then cleaned and dried for use as medicine.

Yin Chai Hu clears deficiency heat without damaging yin to address such symptoms as tidal fever, steaming bones, five-center heat, night sweats and irritability. It is also used in China to treat infantile malnutrition due to excess heat (Gan Ji).
